By transforming used office paper into premium recycled paper pulp used for the manufacture of new quality white papers, Wepa Greenfield is positioning itself as a major player in recycling in France.

The activity of our company is at the heart of the Circular Economy, of which it implements the fundamental principles: limitation of the use of natural resources, reuse of materials and reduction of waste.

Every day, Wepa Greenfield combines industrial performance, compliance with regulatory obligations and the implementation of best practices in terms of health and safety, quality, the environment and energy performance.

In France, each employee consumes between 70 to 85 kg of paper annually (source: Ademe 2017).
On condition of being collected, sorted and recycled, this used paper passes from the status of waste to that of raw material for the paper industry, the starting point of a local circular economy model.

With a recycling capacity of 200,000 tonnes / year, Wepa Greenfield is the largest site in Europe to recycle paper from office bins and out of archiving.

And because reusing these “new resources” near their collection point is more sustainable and virtuous, 80% of the papers recycled by Wepa Greenfield SAS come from France.

Paper, an ecological material par excellence

Paper is a real biomaterial. It is a renewable resource if it comes from sustainably managed forests. In France, 86% of paper on the market is either recycled or made from sustainably managed fibers. (source: Ecofolio 2015)

The paper is also revaluable up to 5 times. By recycling it and buying recycled paper, we are even better at preserving forests by reducing the need for wood, and we are developing a circular economy that uses less energy and water.
