HOW IS OUR SYSTEM EVOLUTIONARY

We provide a one-stop-shop approach to making building components including a complete package for the customer. It allows the client to have the flexibility of configuring a custom building, be involved in its manufacturing and have it nestled onto a site that is prepared to receive precisely what the developer envisioned. This is an evolution of the current process of building.

Like any great system, the Sure-Board® Wall Panel has its roots firmly planted in the belief that safe buildings can be built rapidly, cost-effectively and precisely in a controlled environment, where the maximization of precision standards can be leveraged to yield greater results. This means you can push boundaries because the designers are directly connected to the manufacturing of the components.

Our business has been built on very basic, important principles: make it safe, make it efficient, and standardize as much as possible. These principles have expanded over time to accommodate trends and technology. In these times, client expectations of what is unique and different tend to run up against the cost barrier. We are working hard to provide the solution to combining uniqueness with affordability

SUSTAINABILITY OF OUR SYSTEM

We continuously work to improve the properties of our steel products by testing their ability to outperform the previous generation. In the same way, the company is currently evolving, in order to improve upon itself.

The essential core component of our products is recycled steel. As we envision our products, we hope designers and our customers choose their next building material wisely and put into the consumption stream products that are efficiently manufactured, easily recycled, minimize site impact and pave a path to a positive choice in building methodology.

To have a sustainable future for the yet-to-be inhabitants of our buildings, we must first have real alternatives that compete in performance, price and ease of use. We think we are innovating in all of these categories.

All of this innovation, as well as our intentions, don’t go very far if it isn’t through the purchasing power and choice of our customers. We will continue to be proponents and champions of what we believe to be the most sustainable building material out there…Steel.

WELLBILT HISTORY

Wellbilt International was formed in 2000, initially with the intent of developing a simplified building system for construction of permanent buildings to replace portable classrooms. The system is based on the Wellbilt Sure-Board Wall Panel which incorporates Sure-Board in its design. A coalition of architects and engineers, with over 100 years of combined experience in the construction  industry, was assembled in order to meet our goal. After extensive research and development , the Sure-Board Wall Panel was created: a structural, load bearing wall panel. It has proven to be useful for many other applications. Both the Sure-Board Wall Panel and Sure-Board, are manufactured in Florida and distributed worldwide by Wellbilt International.

Sure-Board is a Super Strength wall board used for interior or exterior walls. It consists of a 22 gauge or heavier, galvanized steel sheet , covering its entire surface, bonded to a substrate such as Fiberock Aqua Tough, Dens Glass Gold, Cement Board, Gypsum Board or others.

The SureBoard Wall Panel is constructed with lightweight 18 guage steel studs and 20 guage steel tracks and can be used as a structural load- bearing panel or as a curtain wall. It is hurricane, earthquake, and impact resistant.

Upon completion of its design, the SureBoard Wall Panel, was submitted for product approval to the Product Control Division of the Miami-Dade County Building Department and was approved after more than 3 years of extensive testing. Subsequently it was also granted Florida State Product Approval. The approvals allow for it to be used In High Velocity Hurricane Zones as cladding, exterior Load-Bearing Walls or Curtain Walls The SureBoard Wall Panel, among other uses, has been specified for private and public school classroom construction, office building retrofit, hotel and hospital walls, home addition construction, data center and soffits.

The SureBoard Wall Panel system reduces the cost of construction materials and expedites construction time by weeks and months. The panels can be assembled by unskilled labor using ordinary tools. Wellbilt International Products can provide materials and customized design services, install the walls and has acted as the general contractor to construct the entire project.
