History
Foundation of the sole proprietorship Rudolf Wagner in 1949 as a haulage company with a 25 hp MAN tractor. In 1952 the fleet was expanded with a Magirus-Deutz 3-way tipper. In 1970 Rudolf Wagner's eldest son, Gerhard Wagner, joined the business. After more than 20 years as a successful haulage company, the company management decided in 1972 to become active in the field of commercial waste disposal by purchasing a drop-off container vehicle. Three years later, the city of Kronach placed the first order to carry out municipal household waste disposal in the Kronach district. Rudolf Wagner's youngest son, Georg Wagner, has also been with the company since 1981.
In the next few years the company grew steadily and the previous company premises could no longer meet the requirements. In 1991, the management acquired the 20,000 m² company site, which still exists today. Development and planning of an office building with a transshipment hall and a petrol station in the Kronach-Neuses industrial park followed.
In the course of the change of name in 1992 from the sole proprietorship Rudolf Wagner to Wagner Entsorgungs- und Recycling GmbH, Georg Wagner officially took over the management. The groundbreaking ceremony for the new building took place in 1993.
After more than 20 years in the waste management industry, Wagner has been a co-partner of LOGEX SYSTEM GmbH & Co. KG , based in Ingolstadt, since 1995 .
In 1997 the long-awaited move to the new company premises was due. After careful consideration, the management decided in 1998 to found the subsidiary Schmidt & Wagner GmbH based in Coburg. This focuses on the collection, trading and marketing of recyclable materials. Due to the demand for the disposal of hazardous waste, a BImSchG - hazardous goods warehouse was set up in 1999. The next step in the company's history was in 2000 the first certification as a waste management company according to § 52 KrW- / AbfG in the area of collecting, transporting, storing and treating waste. The certification is checked and confirmed annually by DEKRA.
On 01/01/2004, Wagner was awarded the contract for the first time to collect lightweight packaging (LVP) on behalf of the Dual System Germany for the districts of Kronach, Kulmbach and Sonneberg. Due to the changing requirements in transport logistics, the 1st walking floor (sliding floor) was purchased in 2007. Other vehicles of this type were added over the next few years.
Today the Wagner company stands out as a leading regional waste disposal and recycling company with a focus on transport / logistics.
