Our company is also a leading manufacturer of general and abrasion-resistant castings to satisfy industrial and OEM requirements. Wabi’s head office and factory is located in New Liskeard, Ontario. Wabi Iron & Steel’s Mine Equipment Division fabricates, machines and assembles a wide range of equipment in both steel and aluminum including mine skips, underground rail cars and mine cages. Our manufacturing experience and outstanding engineering capabilities are evident in every product we produce whether it’s a 174-man double-deck cage, a 50-tonne skip for a potash mine or Granby-style mine rail cars. Wabi’s skilled engineers can design and develop practical solutions to satisfy unique operating requirements. We take pride in working in close partnership with our customers to understand and satisfy their specific production needs and to take care of all of their after-sales service requirements. Wabi also offers an on-site Conveyance Inspection Service to ensure that a customer’s equipment meets the stringent demands of mining. Wabi’s Foundry Division focuses on the manufacture of abrasion, impact and heat resistant iron and steel castings to provide mining wear parts and wear-resistant castings for smelters and mills. The wide range of components we produce include impactor parts, chute liners, crusher parts, grizzlies, pump parts, mine car wheels and track pads. We work with more than 100 different alloys and can produce castings ranging in weight from 50 lbs. to 8,000 lbs.Wabi also engineers and custom designs components for industrial and OEM requirements. Plus, with the technical expertise of our steel foundry staff and an advanced on-site laboratory, we can develop solutions for industries that require an exact alloy to fill a specific role.
