W & D Recycling was founded by Wayne and Diana Zabodyn of El Campo, Texas. After Wayne’s passing in September 2020, Diana has continued to run and operate the business.

Our recycling yard is located in Bay City, on Highway 35, just west of the Colorado River and easily accessible from Bay City, Wharton, Ganado, and El Campo.

We have been in the recycling business for 21 years (in Edna until the Fall of 2016, when we merged operations with our Bay City location), but have been involved in the metal recycling industry for over 30 years. Wayne grew up in the family business as a teenager, and eventually developed his own business into what it is today. It’s a family affair; all of our children have worked in the business at one time or another – they not only learned about the recycling business but also the value of hard work.

We take pride in being friendly and offering our customers competitive prices for all metal recycling: ferrous materials which include junk cars, tractors, #1 short iron, long iron, and tin; and non-ferrous materials such as aluminum cans, sheet aluminum, brass, copper, radiators, batteries, etc. If it’s metal, we will recycle it!

We have a friendly staff that will get you in and out quickly and will answer any questions that you may have. All you have to do is drive in, and our employees will do the rest! We have equipment that will get your junk unloaded fast and a new computer system for accurate pay out tickets. Our 60 ft truck scale for ferrous materials and our non-ferrous scales are state certified for accurate weight readings.

We also offer container services for your business or work site. We deliver and pick up.
