In 1948, Vermeer was founded by Gary Vermeer in Pella, Iowa. Gary has left a lasting legacy, and with the support of his family, helped grow Vermeer into the global business it is today. His philosophy for success was simple: Find a need. Fill that need with a product built to last. And simply build the best!Today, Gary’s legacy is carried on by Mary (Vermeer) Andringa, CEO and Chair of the Board, and Robert L. (Bob) Vermeer, Chairman Emeritus. In 2005, a third generation of the Vermeer family started to join the company. Jason Andringa joined as an Environmental Segment Manager. He would later become President and COO. Allison Vermeer Van Wyngarden joined in 2007 as Industrial Dealership Distribution Manager. And the following year, Mindi Andringa Vanden Bosch was named Continuous Improvement Corporate Manager. The Vermeer family is committed to growing a vibrant business and thriving communities.
