Who we are

Valli Gestioni Ambientali has been a leading player in the materials recycling sector for over 50 years .

The two waste storage and disposal plants managed by the company are located in Gorlago, in the province of Bergamo - in Via Bettole and in Via De Gasperi (the most recent, in 2005) - but the company operates throughout Italy .

The role that the recycling and reuse of waste have assumed over the years has fueled a process of constant renewal of the company . From a simple artisan company involved in the recycling of waste in a purely economic perspective, over time Valli Gestioni Ambientali has transformed into a company based on environmental sustainability as a guiding philosophy in the management of its business.

The first step to implement this updating project is represented by the introduction of an Integrated Quality and Environment Management System in 1999, which led in 2000 to the acquisition of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications and, among the first in Italy, to the EMAS environmental registration in 2001. In 2014 the company was certified BS OHSAS 18001 for health and safety at work.

Starting from 2013, VALLI has broadened its horizons through collaboration with the Ecopneus National Consortium, for the collection and storage of end-of-life tires.

The story: salient stages

The company was founded in Gorlago by Mario Valli between 1962 and 1963 as an artisan company dedicated to the collection, transport and sorting of metal scrap and other recyclable materials.

It was therefore born in the midst of the Italian economic boom, in a context in which the recycling of materials represented a possible source of savings and recovery of raw materials for production activities.

Only later would the sector begin to consciously intertwine its dynamics with those of environmental protection, increasingly assuming a public interest.

Over time, with skill and foresight, Valli Gestioni Ambientali has been able to keep pace with developments in the sector, in terms of regulations and market dynamics.

In the 1970s, the previous activities were accompanied by transport for third parties.

In 1985 Valli Snc was founded and the business underwent a further process of expansion and specialization in the management of the main problems related to the collection, treatment, recovery and disposal of waste.

In the 90s Valli Snc became Valli Gestioni Ambientali Srl . The company develops a progressive sensitivity towards sustainability , raising the reduction of environmental impacts and safety to the primary objectives of its business .

In 2005 the second treatment and recovery center for special waste came into operation in Via Alcide De Gasperi in Gorlago.

Since 2011 Valli Gestioni Ambientali has been registered in the National Register of Environmental Managers (for category 8) for the trade and / or intermediation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
