Arnold Hughes (Robert's father) started Arnold Hughes Co. Inc. in 1945 (Detroit Mi.) and specialized in used steel mill equipment. In 1966 Robert Hughes joined his father and carried on running the business through 1983, During 1969 Arnold Hughes passed away. Robert Hughes went back to school in 1986 and earned his JD law degree. Following completion in 1989 he moved from Michigan to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and in 1993 founded the USA Machinery Corporation.
