About Company

Incorporated in 2006, U.S. Composite Pipe, Inc. began offering long term structural solutions to collection systems. We have installations as far west as Hawaii and as far north as Canada. Our very first project was to design and build three 10' diameter tunnel shafts for the Charleston Water System in South Carolina. Each shaft was 110' deep from rim to invert. Since then we have been providing corrosion resistant collection system components for all of North America.  While our typical partners are municipal wastewater collection system owners, we also serve other industries.  Landfills, pulp and paper, chemical, refining, and mining are all industries with a need for inert structural products.
Our facility is located just south of Ft. Worth, Texas. U.S. Composite Pipe, Inc is part of the KTI Pipe Group family owned business.  The Thompson families, owners of KTI, Inc., have been in the pipeline construction industry for more than 30 years.  The Thompson philosophy has always been to produce the very best quality product along with outstanding customer service.  Our products are produced to certain ASTM standards and we stand behind those products 100%.  In today’s trend of overseas outsourcing and foreign ownership, we take great pride in being one of the few American owned pipe producers in the United States.
U.S. Composite Pipe, Inc. is a registered Texas engineering firm and it is quite common for us to work with owners and designers by aiding in the engineering of our products.  In most cases, we can take an idea or concept and turn that vision into a tangible product.  Bring us your vision and we will help turn it into a solution.

Today’s demanding conditions on our collection systems require a material that can stand up to those conditions.    The conversion of H2S gas into sulfuric acid can destroy collection system components in months.  Until now the solution has been to apply short term coatings or linings to those materials, use flexible non rigid materials, or lower the life expectancy of the components.

The real solution for today's challenging conditions is steel reinforced polymer concrete manholes, microtunnel pipe, and structures.  Polymer concrete is similar to conventional concrete in that is contains selected blends of aggregates and fillers which are held together utilizing a binder.  The binder is a high strength, corrosion resistant, thermosetting resin.  This resin system requires a curing agent (catalyst) which when combined with the resin, transfers the resin and curing agent from a liquid to a solid (thermoset polymer) which bonds to the aggregate, various fillers and internal reinforcement.  Polymer concrete has superior performance characteristics.  It can be used in a ph range of 1-13.  The material itself is it's own protection from corrosion.  There is no need to coat or line polymer concrete force main manholes, pump station manholes, microtunnel pipe or structures.  Being a steel reinforced concrete product, it can also handle severe loading, whether it is live load, backfill dead load, or microtunnel pipe applications.

U.S. Composite Pipe, Inc. offers a full range of manhole diameters from 48” to 192”. Our manholes are steel reinforced per the ASTM C-478 specification and utilize a single offset rubber gasket joint per ASTM C-443. Our manholes also utilize ASTM C-923 pipe to manhole connectors based on their market availability for the size of pipe and size of manhole being used.

Advantages of USCP manholes:

• Corrosion resistant material, requires no coating or lining
• Can be field cored should additional lines be needed later
• Monolithic base slabs to prevent cold joint leaks
• Walls can be drilled for manhole steps
• Flat tops can be custom build for hatches and inserts
• Steel reinforced per current ASTM concrete manhole specification (C-478)
• Same unit weight as Portland cement concrete allows it to be designed to counter the affects of buoyancy when required
• Can be lifted and handled the same as precast concrete manholes
• Tops are HS-20 rated

U.S. Composite Pipe, Inc. currently has the capacity to build up to 192” diameter pump station structures. Using the same corrosion resistant polymer concrete, our pump station structures can be field cored to allow for the proper placement of the inlet and outlet pipes. The flat tops can have any supplied accessories cast into it, such as hatches, vents, or inserts.

Advantages of USCP pump station structures:

• Corrosion resistant material, requires no coating or lining
• Steel reinforced per current ASTM concrete manhole specification (C-478)
• Can be field cored to insure exact elevation of pipes
• Monolithic bases slabs to prevent cold joint leaks
• Flat tops can be custom build for hatches and inserts
• Same unit weight as Portland cement concrete allows it to be designed to counter the affects of buoyancy when required
• Can be lifted and handled the same as precast concrete manholes
