Turning Mill Energy, LLC has a long history of involvement with the production and applications for use of biofuel; particularly Biodiesel. The company has been working diligently with various technologies and feedstocks to develop a process for turning low cost biomass waste products such as; recycled construction & demolition waste, forest residues and agricultural residues into biodiesel to meet the Renewable Portfolio Standard along with the byproduct Char; an product that can be used either as fertilizer or a fuel supplement to be burned at power plants for electricity.
The company is working to develop a pilot plant to process 100 tons per day of feedstock to produce 18,000 gallon per day of biodiesel and 30 tons per day of char to be processed into pellets for further uses. In addition, the company is researching different method of "Cracking" the liquids produced in the process to form such products such as; jet-fuel, lubricants and machine oils.
