Our company, which has been dealing with waste management issues for many years, has developed a solid base of experience over time.

Our know-how ranges from the quantification and classification of waste, to the specification of means of collection and the training of sorting personnel. Our goal remains the implementation of the most economically viable outlets.

We differ from consulting firms because, although we provide consulting services, we also act as an operator in the field of recycling (for three generations), and we manage multimodal technical platforms on our own behalf or through delegation to qualified parties.

History

1950

The TUMBACH company, founded in 1950 and historically based in Annecy, has been a family-owned and operated business for four generations.

At that time, our main activity involved the recycling of secondary raw materials, including ferrous and non-ferrous metals, cardboard and industrial shop towels.

1970

In 1970, confronted with the rapid increase in household packaging waste, we decided to set up a collection and sorting network along the same lines as our commercial waste recovery activity.

The technical means were set up very rapidly in this sector, culminating in the launch of the first separate collection of household waste glass containers in 1974, to which we actively contributed.

1985

Continuing its industrial development, our company acquired highly performing conditioning equipment for the processing of various waste metals (scrap from consumer goods, appliances, automobiles, etc.).

At the same time, as regards ordinary household waste, we obtained authorization from the regional authorities to operate our first manual sorting centre for packaging waste.

1988

In order to respond to the rapidly growing demand for waste processing facilities, we decided to double our surface area with the redeployment of all our industrial tools in a facility of 25,000 sq.m.

1989

This important date in the life of the company marks the launch of our "Waste drop-off centre" (Déchetteries) service. We obtained our first referrals from the STOC of Thonon, then from the Mont Blanc valley authorities and Est-Gessien association of communes (during the 1989-91 period).

1991

The 1991-1995 period offered us the opportunity to consolidate our gains, optimize our methods and add to our range of production facilities. Also, the installation of a new modern sorting and recovery unit for packaging waste, set up in partnership with the ADEME, attests to the public authorities' recognition of our competency and offers us the means to respond to all public and/or private requests for proposals.
