Traditional Jewelers of Raleigh, North Carolina was founded in 1986. We are a small but well-established full service jewelry store located in the Lake Boone Shopping Center, between Rex Hospital and the Beltline.

We specialize in high-end custom made platinum and gold jewelry. At Traditional Jewelers, no job is to large or small. We all have different needs at different times, and we strive to be your jeweler for every occasion. From watch batteries and charms to one of a kind custom jewelry, we are here to serve you.

Bob Godfrey, Jr (or Bobby) has owned and operated
Traditional Jewelers at the present location for 21 years. Bob’s hand is in every aspect of day to day operations to ensure that each and every piece of the client’s treasures goes back to them looking as good as new. Jewelry repair has been something that has come naturally to Bob. His Dad, Bob, Sr. and mother, Nora opened their first jewelry store in the 1960’s.

Debra Hall Godfrey opened the store with Bob when they were first married. Debra adds a wonderful, personal touch. Her attention to detail is something we are all thankful for.

Bob’s cousin, David, has been with him for over 15 years. He also stays busy handling requests for Diamonds, Colored Stones and other services our customers might require.

In our store, “Family Business” means you’re treated like family.

Our staff holds Graduate Gemologist Degrees from GIA, Diamonds and Diamond Grading certificates from GIA, and Bob is USPAP Certified and is a Member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers.

We offer complimentary pearl cleaning with every stringing order, and also offer pearl matching, lengthening, cleaning & redesigning services.
