In 1948, the electrical trade demanded a different wire staple. The current design at that time was a round head staple. Our founder. Joe Thiel came up with a square or flat headed staple that would not slice the wire when the electrician drove it into the stud.
Thiel continues to manufacture and improve upon its very first product. The insulated staple.
Using a proprietary process, Thiel bonds a high impact hot melted PVC to the upper portion of a steel staple. The PVC minimizes the risk of cutting cable insulation and minimizes a short circuit if the insulation is breached.
