The FRG BIOTEL system is a new generation of enhanced aerobic digestion technology
Putting essential nutrients ‘Back to Land’
‘Back to Land’ fertiliser can reduce the massive carbon footprint associated with petrochemical fertiliser. It can improve soil health, reduce nitrate pollution and improve the soil’s ability to hold water and carbon, whilst improving farmers costs and yields.
High rates of return are possible because fertilisers can have a higher value than biogas derived energy and BIOTEL capital costs are lower than traditional digestion.
FRG is a team of highly experienced food waste experts, engineers, project managers and agronomists committed to using UK food waste to its maximum environmental and economic advantage.
FRG is the exclusive UK Licensee for the BIOTEL enhanced aerobic digestion technology which is used to produce the ‘Back to Land’ range of high yield organic fertilisers.
Investors - FRG builds and operates BIOTEL systems on a regional basis to process food waste It invites investors to purchase equity in local operating businesses offer excellent rates of return.
Smaller units are offered for sale to farmers, supermarkets, and food manufacturers who have there own energy and fertiliser needs.
Established by PREL 2008 FRG is 50% owned by PREL and 50% BIOTEL Organic Solutions Ltd.
BIOTEL is a unique enhanced aerobic digestion technology developed to overcome the problems with existing digestion technology.
BIOTEL is a 3 stage mesophilic and thermophilic digester batch digester specially developed to treat a wide range of food waste. 12 years of development into mixing, aeration, reactor design and biological parameters have resulted 300% improvements in throughput.
BIOTEL processes selected food residues nutrients to create organic high yield fertilisers of known nutrient content and release properties.
DEFRA approved since 2003 - Products are treated to in excess of ABPR and PAS110. Renewable energy is produced as 70 degree C heat suitable for use in heat distribution networks.
Typically 25% of the footprint of traditional anaerobic digesters BIOTEL will fit into standard industrial units without complex planning or permitting issues.
Back to Land’ fertiliser and philosophy for integrated crop nutrition and soil management
FRG believes where possible the nutrients from our food waste should be returned ‘back to land’ from where they came from to give us sustainable soil, crops nutrition and prevent the massive 7% of UK GHGs associated with petrochemical fertilizer usage.
