Techmation was incorporated in 1995 with one service center located in Whitecourt AB, and has quickly grown to become one of the largest independent electrical & instrumentation service providers within the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. Already over 1200 personnel and operating with a new fleet of over 500 service vehicles, E&I maintenance, plant turnarounds, and PM scheduling are only a few areas in which Techmation excels.

Techmation has a very comprehensive Quality Management System which applies to all aspects of services we provide our customers. We are committed to constant improvement and consistent delivery of high quality services and have developed in house training to insure all of our locations are trained and knowledgeable about the contents and utilization of our QMS program. Audits and feedback from our field technicians and customers ensures that our systems are both current and relevant to the work we are performing.

Techmation's QMS program includes a complete QA/QC manual containing procedures and documentation for construction and maintenance of facilities along with ABSA Certified programs for the setting and service of Pressure Relief Valves and construction, repair, and alteration of ASME B31.1 Power Piping, Boiler External Piping, ASME B31.3 Process Piping, ASME B31.5 Refrigeration Piping and ASME B31.9 Building Services Piping (AQP-21497).

At the completion of our projects, Techmation will supply a comprehensive package that includes all quality control documents, red line drawings, final electrical inspection and project completion documents to ensure our clients are completely satisfied with the quality of their projects.

Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd.'s safety philosophy begins with our employees. Our employees are our most valuable resource and Techmation’s goal is to ensure they return home safely each and every day. We believe that all incidents are preventable and Techmation’s TRIF target is ZERO. By empowering all of our personnel (from our management to frontline supervision to our field techs) to actively participate in our safety programs this enables us to build a strong safety culture. We pride ourselves in providing a safe work environment, demonstrating safety leadership and promoting safety as our top priority.

Techmation has implemented an effective safety program to protect our workers, customers, public property, the environment and all worksite properties from safety hazards. We have obtained a COR Certification with the Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan Construction Safety Associations and we utilize their training services to augment our safety program and enhance our employee’s skills.
