Company History
Supreme Industries is a 30-year-old company with over 100 employees. We began in land clearing, chipping and grinding and maintain this as a core element of our business but we have expanded into:
Right of way clearing and building of access roads
Road and highway work, including DOT projects
Commercial and municipal site preparation and infrastructure
Golf course construction and renovation
Natural disaster recovery services
We also operate a D.E.E.P. permitted wood waste reduction facility for the reuse and recycling of clean wood product.
Our single-project bonding capability of $50M and aggregate capacity of $90M allows Supreme Industries to perform some of the largest and most demanding projects in the region.
President
Kevin J. Boucher founded Supreme Industries in 1982 as a land clearing enterprise and has since grown his company into a diversified development group comprising Supreme Industries, Supreme Forest Products and New England Bark Mulch and Playground Surfacing, and E.R. Hinman & Sons.
Mr. Boucher owns several other development and building companies in Connecticut and has overseen the building of Foxhunt and Equestrian Estates and Country View Properties, both residential developments, as well as Clockmakers Hill Condominiums.
Mr. Boucher is an active member in the community, volunteering his time and resources to several causes. He is a devoted supporter of Special Olympics and local youth sports.
About New England Bark Mulch and Playground Surfacing
Supreme Industries purchased New England Bark Mulch and Playground Surfacing in 2006, an acquisition that has increased our mulch production and expanded our delivery capabilities. We offer wholesale and retail customers a variety of dyed mulch products and natural bark mulch, delivered in bulk, or picked up at our facilities in bagged or bulk form.
About E.R. Hinman and Sons
E.R. Hinman has been a fixture in the region since 1830 – one of the oldest mills in continuous operation in New England – and provides forestry services and lumber mill products to wholesale and retail customers. We primarily work with native lumber but rare and exotic woods are available for millwork as well.
Supreme Industries is a family-owned and operated site preparation and Right Of Way (ROW) contractor with 30 years of experience in providing safe and environmentally-responsible solutions to the power, pipeline and site construction industries in the following areas:
ROW clearing and grubbing
Complex site planning and excavation
Large scale site work, and site land clearing
Construction of permanent and temporary ROW access roads
Emergency disaster relief
Planning and installing federal and state-compliant environmental erosion controls.
We continually strive to stay ahead of the competition with efficient production founded in safety and environmental responsibility.
