Founded In 1968 By David Levin
David Levin grew up in Peru, Indiana working with his father runing a small scrap yard, and when his father past away he continued to recycle, taking over the business. When he relocated to Terre Haute, Indiana in 1968. He purchased his first two companies Dumes Salvage & Southwest Auto in 1992 and eventually purchased a third company, Sussman Iron & Metal. He merged Dumes & Sussman to become Sugar Creek Scrap. He passed in 1998, leaving his youngest daughter and her family to run the business.
