The beginnings

Gustav Pieces founded the company "Gustav Pieces Product Dealer" in 1950. With his son Willi, he collected old materials such as bones, rags, paper, iron and scrap. Commercial customers were won more and more. With Ilse Pieces, a trained industrial clerk, the men found great support for all office work in 1954. In 1955 the first hall was built in which the paper was pressed.

When Gustav Pieces died in 1961, his son continued to run the company under the name “Willi Pieces Raw Material Trading”. Willi Pieces expanded the disposal for commercial customers. These times were characterized by pure handwork, handshake business and family cohesion. The family helped sort out rags, the paper was pressed and loaded manually, and scrap was shredded with a hammer and cutting torch.

The business grew and new investments became necessary. Land was bought in, the company premises were fortified and the work was mechanically supported by the first forklift (1968) and an automatic channel baling press (1975). The destruction of files has been included in the disposal program. In 1987, the participation of son Jens-Wilhelm ensured the further succession and continued existence of the company.

In 1992, STÜCKE Rohstoff-Recycling GmbH was founded. The disposal and recycling of paper and foils as well as the disposal of untreated wood are still the company's core competencies.

The early days of STÜCKE Rohstoff-Recycling GmbH were characterized by large investments. Land was bought again to expand the company premises and access. A new hall was built, the vehicle fleet and container systems were expanded, and a fully automatic baling press with feed belt and a document shredder were purchased. Through great commitment, reliability and care, Jens-Wilhelm and Willi Pieces acquired new customers, so that the company and with it the number of employees grew steadily.

today

In 2009, investments were made in the future of the company in Bad Salzuflen (Ahmsen) with a new office building and in 2012 with the expansion of space.

Company owner Jens-Wilhelm reached deep into his pocket for modern technology when he put the new document shredding system into operation in 2017 with an investment volume of 750,000 euros. The files are destroyed in a specially built, camera-monitored 400 square meter hall in accordance with the latest data protection legislation. An access gate to the closed destruction plant and a separate locking system as well as access controls guarantee the destruction according to the security levels of DIN 66399 and the Federal Data Protection Act.

Today Jens-Wilhelm Pieces leads the established family business supported by his wife, Liane Pieces.
