Stuart Benjamin and Co. is made up of a small, but very distinguished and knowledgeable staff that closely caters to clients looking for uniquely designed and crafted jewelry. We offer a no-pressure setting that allows our clients time to enjoy their visit. We are more than happy to assist you with any questions or concerns you might have. Our service and integrity has been rewarded by becoming an American Gem Society (AGS) member, for which only 5% of jewelry stores in the nation qualify. In addition, we are all Graduates of the GIA,( Gemological Institute of America), which means you can feel confident with your purchase and know we stand behind our jewelry and reputation of quality. Stuart’s love of jewelry started at the young age of 10, dusting the showcases of his grandfather’s store in downtown San Diego. Growing up in the business has allowed Stuart to cultivate strong relationships within the city, as well as nationally. Stuart is currently the past president of the California Jewelers Association and is very active in the organization. He also belongs to the Manx Club and enjoys off-roading. Barbara Wasserstrom began her career in jewelry in Columbus, Ohio at age 21. Sharing Stuart’s love of jewelry and all things that sparkle, they decided to join together and open their own store in 1997. With over 30 years working retail and designing jewelry, Barbara is a founding member, as well as past president, of the San Diego Chapter of Women’s Jewelry Association, a national organization formed to empower women in the jewelry industry. Jeff Teel, Graduate Jeweler (GIA), was in the watch industry for several years before joining Stuart Benjamin and Co. Jeff’s designs and proficient knowledge of CAD-CAM enables clients to see their finished pieces come to life before they are ever produced. This allows a close working relationship with clients, builds trust, and guarantees the client will have the exactly what was wished for.
