Who we are
Blake Strickland is the founder of Strickland Electronic Recycling. He has been involved in the recycling business since 1992, when he used to walk the floors of a warehouse run by his father. The education received while working with both his dad and David Ritter (owner of Global Investment Recovery) has proven invaluable. After graduating from high school there was no question as to what his career choice would be. He was hired by Global Investment Recovery as a warehouse worker while attending college. Upon graduation he became a warehouse manager.
Global Investment Recovery was acquired by Sims Recycling Solutions in 2008, and Blake then went through several training classes to better serve his customers and also be a trainer of personnel within the company. He was also named head of the 5S project that was charged with re-organizing the company.
Once Sims Recycling Solutions chose to close the South Carolina locations, Blake knew he could not leave his customers without recycling services and felt the time was right to start his own company providing the same quality services they were accustomed to.
