From our beginnings as a small handrail fabrication shop in Charlotte, NC to our position today as one of the nation’s largest suppliers of fabricated structural steel, SteelFab has remained committed to providing outstanding customer service, quality, and safety. This commitment is evident in everything we do, whether it is drilling holes or designing connections. The mission of STEELFAB, INC. is to provide the construction industry with quality fabricated steel products and services at competitive prices. In accomplishing this, we will treat our customers, employees and suppliers in a fair and equitable manner. To our CUSTOMERS, we offer a teamwork approach by fulfilling their needs with outstanding services. Further, we strive to be a low-cost producer of quality products while maintaining the ability to respond to challenging markets. For our EMPLOYEES, we provide a safe and challenging environment where work can be enjoyable and rewarding. We strive to stimulate learning, teamwork and personal growth for all employees. From our SUPPLIERS, we expect a close, mutually beneficial relationship as they are partners in meeting our customers’ needs. For STEELFAB, we must realize a reasonable profit to compensate stockholders, employees and reinvestment for future competitiveness. Above all, WE will conduct our business based upon high ethical standards, integrity and honesty.
SteelFab, Inc. is committed to provide a Safe and Healthy workplace for all of our valued employees. Our driving force is two-fold; 1. Working Safe is a Condition of Employment, and 2. We must be each other’s keeper. Our belief is that we are morally, legally, and ethically obligated to care for each other, to care for ourselves, and to care for our families, both personal and professional, here at work, and as well at home. To be successful in this endeavor, we have learned to “lock arms instead of horns” to facilitate trust between employees and management thus changing our culture to a non-adversarial work environment. We strive to insure that our training programs meet, and in most cases, exceed all local, state and federal safety guidelines, standards, and rules which have been promulgated since the 1970 OSH ACT. SteelFab, Inc. has a full time Corporate Safety Department which provides the best training available, i.e. Lockout/Tagout, Haz-Com, Overhead Cranes & Hoists, Forklifts, etc., for our employees. The Safety Department also makes unannounced “mock OSHA” inspections of our Charlotte facility as well as our affiliate shops. During jobsite construction activities SteelFab, Inc.’s Corporate Safety Director is often observed walking/inspecting the iron worker’s activities to insure that we are “doing the right thing” in regard to OSHA and General Contractor’s Safety Requirements.
