Steel Center Metallia offers solutions for both metal recycling and the procurement of steel and metal products. We want to offer our customers a comprehensive service to make transactions as effortless as possible.

Metal recycling

We offer industry-specific metal recycling solutions. Our recycling plant in Maalahti enables modern and environmentally friendly ways of producing high-quality raw materials. We apply the ISO 9001 quality system and the ISO 14001 environmental management system, as well as the OHSAS 18001 occupational safety system, at all stages of our scrap metal recycling operations.

Steel sales

Our steel store has a comprehensive selection of steel and metal products and we deliver products to order. You can pick up the materials in stock immediately or order them directly at the place of use. Delivery time for order products is about 1-5 working days.

Pretreatment services

We cut the materials to the desired length immediately. In addition, we offer a comprehensive range of different services through our extensive cooperation network (including laser cutting, edging and machining).

History

The history of Teräskeskus Metallia dates back to the operations of VTH Recycling Oy AB, which specializes in the recycling of scrap metal from Vaasa.

Ville Hatanmaa's CEO, VTH Hatanmaa, founded a company specializing in scrap metal recycling in the 1960s, which Ville set out to develop in 2014. As recycling grew, Ville came up with the idea of a larger entity combining metal recycling, material procurement and pre-treatment services. The goal is to provide customers with a comprehensive service to make transactions as effortless as possible. This gave rise to Steel Center Metallia.
