Tommy H. Starnes Jr. began Starnes Pallet Service in September of 1989, changing the face and concept of the pallet industry in Charlotte, North Carolina. He introduced the time efficient concept of consistently maintaining pallets on trailers ready to be shipped upon request. Tommy implemented this idea with the customer’s demands in mind supported by a quality product and timely delivery. Not only did he introduce the notion of time sensitivity in the pallet industry, he also expanded upon and focused on streamlining the reconditioning of pallets. This allowed him to offer a quality product that would not only be sustainable but more readily available. Business grew and expanded, as did the ideas and innovations such as a pallet removal service. Starnes Pallet Service, Inc. has grown to include much more than a process of reconditioning pallets. Today, with three operational locations, the business serves the greater southeastern region backed by the same quality product and focus on time sensitivity. With that in mind, Starnes Pallet Service, Inc. operates with the same significant interest at heart.
“ Our customers can buy their pallets from anywhere, we know that, but calling and receiving their pallets when they need them, whether it be Monday, Friday at 7 or Sunday morning and being able to count on that quality pallet, this is what has built our business and continues to be our success.” ~Tommy H. Starnes Jr.
