Stainless Steel Services was founded in 1976 by founder and current owner, Rick Stewart. At the time, Rick’s family was operating a 4th generation steel fabrication business that was serving the nuclear power industry. When a requirement surfaced for polished reactor pool liners at the Perry Project in Perry, Ohio, the fabricator could not find a polisher to meet the stringent requirements of the job. Stainless Steel Services was formed to meet these, and other, exacting polish requirements.
