Established in 1946 by John McBroom, & headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Stainless Foundry & Engineering Inc. (SFE) is a well-established and highly regarded manufacturer of raw and machined castings in both sand and investment.

SFE is a prominent supplier to OEM’s servicing the Chemical, Petrochemical, Nuclear, Pulp & Paper, Pharmaceutical, Food & Dairy, Metering, & Military markets with corrosion-resistant, high heat, and wear resistant steel, stainless steel & high alloy parts.

With annual shipments of nearly 4 million pounds of castings produced in weights ranging from grams to over 2,800 pounds, in over 250 alloys, SFE has the technical competence and manufacturing expertise to more than satisfy the requirements of its sizeable (over 600 strong in both North America and Europe) customer base.

Stainless Foundry & Engineering is a One Stop Shop. We offer two foundries in one, a sand casting division and investment casting division, together with a Machine Shop. As your single source for dual casting processes, there’s no need to work with two foundries for the different types of casting and we can also recommend which might best fit your requirements. Our sand casting capacity ranges from 3 lbs. to 2,200+ lbs. (largest casting is 2,500 lbs. ship weight), while our investment castings range from grams to 150 lbs.

Over 250 alloys are poured at SF&E, with groups including: Stainless Steel, Hardenable & Non-Hardenable, Heat-Resistant Stainless, Nickel Alloys, Cobalt Alloys, Carbon & Low-Alloy Steels, Cast Irons, Tool Steels and Specialty Alloys.

Our in-house Machine Shop features specialized turning and milling machining services. Our machining capabilities range from ounces to 600 lbs and enable us to manufacture parts with intricate geometry and detail while maintaining high precision and accuracy.
