Spartan Supply Company is a successful family-owned and operated business spanning over three generations. With over 35 employees currently at Spartan, it is our aspiration to create a working environment dedicated to simplifying the wood recycling process for our customers.

History

Spartan Supply Company began in 1979, when founder Robert Hill began brokering wood pallets, corrugated materials and any related packaging products. Through Mr. Hill’s hard work and dedication in the brokering business, he expanded into manufacturing and was able to purchase his own 40,000 square foot pallet facility in Middletown, OH just nine years later.

As companies became more environmentally friendly and searched for more inexpensive and yet durable ways to ship their products, Mr. Hill decided to steer away from producing and distributing new pallets to focus his company on producing recycled wood pallets. This proved to be an affordable alternative to using new wood. The next 20 years of Mr. Hill’s life were dedicated to perfecting this process and servicing companies throughout the tri-state area.

In 2004, with Spartan Supply Co. continually growing, Tim Carpenter, Robert Hill’s grandson, took over the company's operations in an effort to continue the great tradition that his grandfather had left for him.

Today, Spartan Supply Co. takes pride in servicing companies all over the tri-state area. We are continuously simplifying the wood recycling process and enabling companies to reclaim value for their wood waste.
