A family-owned and operated business since 1981, Southern Welders Supply Company was founded by brothers, William I. and Jan A. Fogle. The first retail sight and headquarters was located on Broughton Street in Orangeburg, SC. With 4 employees, the business grew and expanded by 1985 to its second retail location at Broad Street Extension in Sumter, SC.  In 1991, SWS relocated its Sumter operations to a newly built 20,000-square foot plant and retail location located at 740 Guignard Drive, Sumter, SC. Through a tireless work ethic and dedication to build a strong, stable leader within its service area, SWS expanded to Florence, SC in 1994. The company's headquarters moved operations to its current corporate location with a 15,000-square foot filling plant on Seal Street in Orangeburg, SC and added a fourth retail store in Myrtle Beach, SC.  

Southern Welders Supply has grown its business on a reputation for quality, service and value standards since inception. As a family business, customers are an extension of Southern Welders Supply's family and relationships are the core of the business.

We sell industrial welding gases, arc welding equipment, oxy/fuel cutting, brazing and welding equipment, mig, tig, plasma machines, accessories and consumables, safety and protective equipment and clothing, hand and power tools, abrasives, repair parts and hydrostatic testing. Southern Welders Supply is your one-stop welding shop.
