Southern Stud Weld Inc. was founded in 1986 by David Barton. Prior to that David founded Southwest Stud Welding and worked for another large stud welding manufacturer. David Barton perceived that customer service was not a priority in the stud welding industry and decided to change that dynamic.

Southern Stud Weld is a customer service based organization. We believe that taking care of the customer must always be a priority. Good will based on going the extra mile to make things work for our customers has allowed us to grow our business consistently over the years.

Southern Stud Weld manufactures product at our Irving Texas facility. Product is produced on a variety of CNC turning machines, screw machines, thread rolling and cold forming equipment and metal stamping machines.

Southern Stud Weld is a partner with Soyer Stud Welding in Germany. Soyer is a technological leader in the design and manufacture of stud welding equipment worldwide. Small portable stud welding systems to advanced CNC production systems with integrated quality control monitoring are all designed and produced by Soyer at their factory in Bavaria Germany.
