Southeastern Plateworks specializes in fabricated structural steel components for industries, including air pollution, mining, pulp & paper, engineering construction and other industrial applications. Our custom platework, ductwork, structural steel and other custom steel fabrications are developed on site at our Birmingham facility where we make use of high-performance capabilities such as AutoCad detailing software, CNC controlled processing equipment and MIG Welding. Southeastern Plateworks has experience in the fabrication of plate and structural steel products using diverse steel grades including carbon steels (A36, A572, A992), stainless steels (304L, 316L), and more exotic temperature and corrosion resistant alloys (AL6XN, C276, 2205). Steel fabricated platework, structural steel, process equipment, and other products are fabricated on site at one of our two Birmingham-based fabricating facilities. Between our two shops, we have a total of 200,000 SF of interior production space and over 25 acres of outside staging and storage area. With our 150 skilled fabricators, experienced management group, and crane capacities of up to 50 ton single lifts, we have the ability to support a wide range of large and complex projects. This is all accomplished under an established quality control program.

Stainless steel fabrication services. Stainless steel sliding surface liners, structures, equipment, storage and plate steel components and equipment can be fabricated. Other products include buckstays, plate girders, beam and column structures, stair towers, boiler flues, fluidized bed boiler hopper modules, wet scrubbers and spray dryer absorbers/dry scrubbers. Capabilities include AutoCAD detailing, assembly, structural steel and ductwork fabrication and MIG welding.
