When Henry Zarrow founded Sooner in Tulsa, Okla. In 1937, he had a simple purpose: connect the people who create the world’s energy with the supplies they needed. Sooner’s growth through acquisition strategy has enabled us to reach farther and deliver better service to our customers. Each of Sooner’s acquisitions has brought a distinguished history and strong customer base to the combined company. In our latest move to connect the world’s energy creators with the supplies they need, Sooner Pipe L.L.C., the tubular division of Oil States International, Inc., was purchased by Marubeni-Itochu Tubulars America, Inc. on September 3, 2013. As a part Marubeni Itochu, Sooner has both the commitment and the capital required to support our customer’s drilling programs. We maintain the industry’s largest on-the-ground inventory, giving the company the flexibility to fill customer orders for OCTG pipe from our stock or from the manufacturer. From here, the future looks very promising, and we look forward to continuing to provide the best OCTG products and logistics services to our loyal customers.
