Cheryl Hanning Smith, President

Cheryl joined Solid Rock Roofing in 1997 after working in medical office administration at The Children’s Medical Center and pharmaceutical sales with Bristol Myers Squibb. After nine years of partnership with her father and founder of the business, Tracy Hanning, Cheryl purchased full ownership of Solid Rock in 2014. Cheryl served on the Centerville Board of Education from 2004-2008. Cheryl has been a highly involved volunteer with Centerville City Schools, Buckeye Trails Girl Scouts and the Pleasant Hill Swim Club Swim Team. She is an active member of the Women in Business Network (WIBN), Heart of Centerville and Washington Township Business Alliance, and Springboro Chamber of Commerce. Cheryl and her husband, Terry, have resided in Centerville for 25 years raising a family of three children: sons, Joe (CHS 2001) and Grant (CHS 2011); daughter, Taylor (CHS 2010).

Tracy Hanning, Founder

After retiring from a career as an industrial arts teacher in Trotwood schools, Tracy Hanning founded Solid Rock Roofing in 1990. Working out of his home in Washington Township, Tracy built a successful business serving the Dayton area. The company moved to its current office on Congress Park Drive in 2012. Tracy has been highly involved in numerous Habitat for Humanity projects. He has also led countless volunteer home rehabilitation projects through Hammer and Nails, a program of Far Hills Community Church where he has been a longtime member.
