Solarion manufactures flexible thin-film solar cells in a low-cost roll-to-roll process. To deposit the absorber layer a patented ion beam-assisted process (IBAD) is used. The energy and material usage is considerably reduced by this technology. At the same time the productivity increases significantly and allows a higher efficiency of solar cells. This low-temperature deposition is particularly suited for coating plastic films. The process can be controlled very precisely. This ensures a consistently high quality of solar cells.
