Snyder Industries was founded in 1957 by Larry Snyder in Lincoln, Nebraska, and has since grown to become a leader in a variety of industries by consistently committing company resources to product and process innovations, patents, acquisitions, geographic expansion and strategic partnerships.
1960’s-Modest Fiberglass repair shop evolves into proprietary product manufacturing.
1970’s-Began manufacturing storage and transport tanks for fertilizers and chemicals for agricultural applications
1972- Discovered rotational molding process as more cost effective method to produce large hollow parts, like tanks
1982 - Built second plant in Lincoln, which houses the world’s largest rotational molding machine.
1987 - Introduced industry’s first returnable and refillable mini bulk container for agricultural chemicals.
1991 - Larry Snyder sold the business to private equity firm, LMP Holdings.
-New Management seeks to diversify end market concentration from a predominate agricultural market focus.
1993 -Entered Industrial IBC market, and introduce the 1st commercially viable, DOT approved all plastic intermediate bulk container (IBC).
1994 -Acquired Crown Rotational Molded Products, Inc. in Marked Tree, Arkansas.
1996 -Patented revolutionary IBC design to meet higher pressure requirements. 1st plastic IBC rated for higher pressure applications.
1998 -Developed superior double wall tank product line, which accelerated penetration within industrial chemical market.
1999 -Established new manufacturing location in Philippi, West Virginia.
-Acquired by private equity firm, Linsalata Capital Partners.
2000 -Patented the 1st plastic IBC to pass US DOT standards in capacity greater than 350 gallons.
2001 -Entered the plastic septic tank market, and established #2 market position within two years.
-Acquire Central California Container in Chowchilla, CA, establish manufacturing presence on west coast.
2003 -Developed open top tank and plastic stand product line to better serve chemical batch and mixing applications.
2005 -Acquired by private equity firm, Cortec Group.
-Entered the dry powder handling market, and patented revolutionary portable hopper bin design.
2006 -Acquired Clawson Container Company, including steel IBC and tank fabrication capabilities.
2007 -Developed capability to line steel tanks with rotational molded plastic resin.
2008 -Acquired by private equity firm, Olympus Partners.
-Became part of Tank Holding Company along with tank manufacturer Norwesco.
2010 -Acquired Promen’s USA, including Chicago plant, reestablished Bonar Plastics brand name, and further diversified into food handling markets.
2012 -Acquired Rotonics Manufacturing plant in Bensenville, Illinois, including Stratis pallet product line.

Snyder provides the broadest range of tank and container products to store and transport a wide variety of fertilizers, crop protection chemicals, and seed treatment products. Returnable Intermediate Bulk containers (IBCs) are designed to meet United Nations and US Department of Transportation standards to transport hazardous and non-hazardous pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and seed treatment chemicals. These reusable IBCs are engineered to be shipped over and over again for many years, reducing the waste and disposal costs associated with one-way disposable and temporary reconditioned containers, and meet all applicable EPA standards.
