History :

During its humble beginnings in 1943 as a screw machine shop in the garage of a small house in Toronto’s west end, partners Harvey Collison and Oliver Goll placed service along with sharing knowledge and know-how at the heart of their operation.

From job shop to selling spare parts for Brown & Sharpe, CVA and BSA Screw Machines by 1959 the company separated into two businesses; one manufacturing under the name of Collison-Goll Limited; the other selling and servicing machines under the name of Screw Machine Services Limited. In 1984, the company relocated into its present 30,000 square foot facility to accommodate better for customer training and showroom demonstrations.

55 years later, SMS is one of the Country’s foremost machine distributors, providing Eastern Canada with state of the art machine tools, turnkey automated manufacturing systems and service.
