We are a family run business that have been trading for over 25 years, based in Sutton in Ashfield we serve the Nottinghamshire area.

We operate a transfer station that is used to segregate all wastes and to recycle as much of it as possible.

This transfer station is fully Licensed and monitored by the Environment Agency, ensuring that we operate completely within the law and with as little damage to the environment as possible. We try to be as flexible as possible in our attempts to meet all of our customers different needs. We are here to help make your skip hire experience an easy, effortless, and hassle free process.

Recycling?

Here at Smiths Skips we are dedicated to recycling. Gone are the days of skips being taken directly to landfill sites!

Every skip we collect is tipped in our transfer Station and the contents are sorted into categories.

By doing this we are able to take out all the waste that can be recycled and minimise the amount that goes to landfill.

We currently recycle all of these wastes:

• All types of wood
• All 'inert' waste (i.e. bricks, rubble, soil, sand, concrete etc)
• Glass
• Degradable waste (i.e. tree cuttings, grass, hedge clippings etc)
• All types of paper and card
• All types of scrap metal
• Plus many others...
