CWB Certified Workforce

At Smith Steel & Fabrication, we recognize the importance of having a highly skilled workforce and so we ensure that staff training opportunities are ongoing. Our shop is CWB certified to CSA W47.1 standards, and our welder-fitters are tested and qualified by CWB on an ongoing basis, with a welding supervisor in-house to ensure that approved CWB welding procedures are being followed.

We also understand that employee retention and engagement are keys to our success and so we strive to give employees every opportunity to have a healthy work-life balance and to cross-train on other functions. Many management opportunities are given to existing staff who have expressed interest in leadership roles. With the safety and well-being of our employees as a top priority, we continually upgrade and retrain on health and safety matters.
