SLACAN Industries Inc. was founded in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 1912 to supply Poleline Hardware for the growing electrical utility and communication markets.
Canada's largest designer and manufacturer of Poleline Hardware
As Canada's largest designer and manufacturer of Poleline Hardware, we serve the electrical utility and communication market with a complete line of distribution, EHV Transmission and other poleline hardware as well as Substation and structural steelwork.
Our main focus continues to be the highest quality line hardware supplier. Knowledge gained from over 100 years of forging, stamping and machining has provided the opportunity for entry into many other markets. Our OEM focus is farm equipment and mining, although several other markets are served. SLACAN expanded its product line into substation design and manufacture with the acquisition of Cross Canada Electric. This complements the manufacture of other structural transmission components such as steel crossarms, davit arms and anchoring assemblies.
SLACAN operates from a stand-alone 150,000 sq.ft. facility, on over 11 acres of land, in Brantford, Ontario, 70 miles from Toronto and Buffalo.
SLACAN's Quality Management System is registered by SAI Global to ISO 9001:2015, Certificate #CERT-0124188. SLACAN also maintains Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) certification of our welding processes.
