SkyFuel, Inc. is a small, dynamic company located in Denver, Colorado that is the solar energy technology division of a large, international corporation. SkyFuel’s current solar technology includes SkyTrough and ReflecTech, both recognized as some of the most innovative products in the concentrating solar power (CSP) industry.  SkyTrough is the first utility scale solar concentrator to use lightweight ReflecTech mirror film in place of traditional glass mirrors. SkyFuel’s OnSun Integrated Control and Drive System provides highly accurate positioning for parabolic trough solar collectors using a helical, hydraulic rotary actuator and the SkyTrakker control board for precision tracking. SkyFuel’s SkyTrough was named CSP Today “Commercialized Technology Innovation of 2010” for its breakthroughs in cost reduction and constructability. SkyFuel is also developing next-generation, high-temperature parabolic trough systems for hybrid facilities that use molten salt as the working fluid in the solar field.
