SKIP SIZE GUIDE – WHAT SIZE BEST SUITS YOUR NEEDS?

Here at Skips4u we offer many different skip sizes.  We would recommend always checking with our FAQ's page with what you’re going to put into your skip before you fill it.

There is a comprehensive list of items to make sure you’re not putting waste into the skip that is not suitable or that maybe hazardous.  If in doubt you can always call our friendly team, who will be more than willing to give you some guidance.

A FEW USEFUL TIPS

Fridges and fridge freezers are not permitted into skips as they are hazardous.

Skips bigger than 8 yards, are not suitable to go onto the road as the council deem 10 yards and upwards to large for the road.

8 yards is also the largest skip size for heavy inert waste  (hardcore and or soil) because it will make the skip too heavy to lift.

PROVIDING ALL YOUR WASTE SERVICES

We have fully licensed waste transfer stations at our sites where you can tip your waste at competitive prices.

Our waste transfer station in Southend is open to the general public and is open Monday to Saturday.

All of our skips are sorted back at the site and the waste is recycled were possible, ensuring less waste is taken to landfill.

At Skips4u we offer a same day skip hire service for orders booked before 10am, subject to availability.

If you are short on time or space we can provide a wait and load service.

If you need to place your skip on a public highway or verge , we will efficiently arrange the skip permit on your behalf through the local borough council.
