With a population of 168,000, Chattanooga is the fourth-largest city in Tennessee and is located in southeastern part of the state, along the banks of the Tennessee River. Chattanooga lies approximately 120 miles to the northwest of Atlanta, 120 miles to the southwest of Knoxville, about 135 miles to the southeast of Nashville, and about 148 miles to the northeast of Birmingham, Alabama.
