Simmons Disposal is a second generation business started in 1958 by Don Simmons which serviced the city of Kamiah until they eventually expanded to Kooskia and Stites, and later adding Orofino. In 2013 Robert and Sheila Simmons took over the family business and began running the day-to-day operations. In late 2013, Simmons Disposal began servicing rural Idaho County.
The Simmons Disposal Transfer Station is located two (2) miles south of Kamiah, Idaho at 3226 Highway 162. It is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., seven (7) days a week and is closed on major holidays.
