SICON also makes financial contributions to the German Red Cross and American Red Cross and supports people and families who are in need through no fault of their own due to natural disasters, for instance, the tsunamis in the Indian Ocean in 2004, the earthquakes in Pakistan and on Haiti in 2010 and Hurricane “Katrina” which ravaged the southern part of the US in 2005. Both Red Cross Organizations are usually the first to respond on site and thus need quick financial support to aid their efforts to assist people in need.In the US, we also support the Tenenbaum Foundation, which actively provides financial assistance to organizations that focus on eliminating inequality and injustice in the US based on compelling principles.
