Integrated Waste Management System in Sibiu County, a project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund

The purpose of the Integrated Waste Management System Project in Sibiu County is to implement an integrated waste management system whose operation will lead to compliance with all commitments and achievement of all targets, as they were assumed by the approved planning documents.

Waste is any substance or object that the owner discards or intends or is required to discard.  Municipal waste is household waste and other types of waste, which by nature or composition are similar to household waste.  Household waste is waste from household activities.  Waste assimilated to household waste = waste from industry, commerce, the public or administrative sector, which has a composition and properties similar to household waste and which is collected, transported, processed and stored together with it.
