Shorelands was formed in Darwin in 1989 as a business to supply specialised labour and equipment to the Northern Territory’s expanding oil, gas and construction industries. Beginning with one 12 tonne Franna crane and initially involved in precast concrete construction, early projects included the Grandstand at Darwin’s Marrara sporting complex and sheds at Fort Hill Wharf. Since those early days, the company diversified into other areas including purpose-designed sea containers, labour recruitment, powdercoating, sandblasting, air services and logistics, barge operations and further expansion of its crane and truck hire capabilities. Today the Shorelands Group is among one of Darwin’s most respected local businesses with an impressive track record of successful major projects, corporate clients and an outstanding contribution to the community through a number of high profile sponsorships that include the Darwin Symphony Orchestra, Dragons Abreast and the AFL Tiwi Bombers.Shorelands Group is committed to our policy of on-going continuous improvement, which adds value to our customers – not only by being on time and on budget, but also through researching new technologies that add efficiencies in our workplace.
