In 1949, World War II veteran and entrepreneur, Norm Seaman pursued a vision to create fabrics that could set a new world standard for versatility and performance. With a kitchen laboratory and two sewing machines in a basement workshop in Canal Fulton, Ohio, he developed the company’s earliest products. These early efforts established a platform for quality, performance and customer service that today distinguishes the company as a global leader.
A privately held business, Seaman Corporation is governed by an independent outside Board of Directors. Richard Seaman, Chairman and CEO and John Crum, President and COO, manage the daily operations of the company and guide a group of top leaders among all business functions who form Seaman Corporation’s Strategic Leadership Team.
