Dennis Smith, founder and president of Sea Coast Window & Door has an extensive background in the millwork industry. Originally from Erie, Pennsylvania, Dennis worked for Iron City Sash & Door Co., a well known Pittsburgh millwork company, and one of the largest Andersen Window distributors in the country. During his 15 years with the company, his experience included territory sales, branch sales manager and finally, manager of sales training and communications for the five location seven state distributor.

Next stop on the window & door scene was The Atrium Door Co., Dallas TX. An all encompassing, high-paced, Eastern Regional Manager position covering thirteen states and culminating as Product Manager at their home office in Dallas where he helped to develop the Atrium Window product line.

Finally ending up in sunny Florida in 1990, Dennis opened a new sales territory in South Florida while working for the Orlando, FL based Huttig Sash & Door Co.

Enter HURRICANE ANDREW. The aftermath and destruction and finally, the Newly Enacted South Florida Building Codes left the building industry in chaos and confusion.

Spending the next several years working with the major aluminum and wood window companies who were quick to respond to the new codes, Dennis began a new era in the window and door industry...Code Compliant Expertise for Hurricane Resistant Windows and Doors!
