In 1964, Betty Malessa, her son Lorenz Schneider and his wife Rosalinde founded the family company Schneider & Malessa OHG, which still exists today.
In the middle of the 90s, after the death of the founder Lorenz Schneider, both of Lorenz and Rosalinde Schneider's daughters also got fully involved in the car recycling business. Since that time the company management has been firmly in female hands.
To this day, the company is an integral part of the city of Viernheim.
