On April 1st, 1990 Maria Schmutzler founded the company Container-, Fuhr- und Recyclingbetrieb Maria Schmutzler . Building on the experience of ten previous years of working with her own secondary raw material collection point and the associated marketing of recyclable materials, she and her husband dared to take the plunge into this newly emerging market.
In the spring of 1990 the first used truck was bought. With a high level of personal commitment, it was possible to expand the business in such a way that, in the following months and years, additional employees were hired, new trucks were acquired and a company site with warehouses was acquired.
The steadily growing company steered and managed them from their own home and an office container. By moving into the new office and administration building on October 21, 1996, the working and social conditions of our workers and employees could be improved considerably.
In 1998 the company received the recognition of “ Certified Waste Management Company” for the first time by an approved external expert. The certification has been repeated annually since then.
A processing plant for the production of substitute fuel has been in operation since 2005.
On January 3rd, 2011 the company was handed over from Ms. Maria Schmutzler to her daughter Anett Lang. Business operations will now be continued as Schmutzler Recycling GmbH.
Over time, the small collection point for secondary raw materials has become a modern waste management company with international contacts.
