On September 9, 1999 Arkansas City natives Lucas and Blanche Schmidt first opened the doors of Schmidt Jewelers at 226 South Summit Street. We opened with only two showcases and a willingness to serve the Arkansas City community through quality jewelry repair. Throughout the years, Schmidt Jewelers has grown into a destination for diamond shoppers, seekers of unique styles and custom designed pieces. We pride ourselves on quality in-store jewelry repair and engraving with a fun family-friendly atmosphere.

With his eye for detail and extensive experience in the jewelry industry Lucas enjoys helping you create beautiful jewelry that will last a lifetime. Lucas graduated in 1997 from the Oklahoma State University branch in Okmulgee, Oklahoma with an Associates of Applied Science in Jewelry Technology and in Watch and Microinstrument Repair. In 1996 and in 1997 Lucas received first place in the student category at the Oklahoma Jewelers Association Annual Jewelry Design Contest.

Blanche strives to find the exact piece of jewelry to commemorate each special occasion in your life. Blanche is a 1998 graduate of Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Sciences And Natural Resources. She is a Certified Management Professional with the Jewelers of America certification program and is a Gemological Institute of America (GIA) Diamonds graduate.
