Schmeer Sheet Metal Works was founded in 1945 by journeyman sheetmetal craftsman, John Schmeer. In 1992, John Schmeer sold the shop to his two employees Dick Riley and Dave Gutierrez. In 2002 Dick retired and Dave took ownership. Six years later, after 15 years of apprenticeship under the three previous owners, Kim and Cedric Meeks purchased the company and maintain the old–world pride of its founders today.

Along with traditional metal craftsmanship, the company’s work is always consciously grounded in a regard for customer satisfaction. “The vast majority of projects come to us as referrals from previous installations, says Kim Meeks. “We have a reputation for upholding the finest quality and unmistakable design appeal.”

Schmeer has extensive experience with both residential and commercial work in the Portland, Oregon area. Due to the unique facets of custom metal work, Schmeer insists on completing every project with precise and proper installation to insure lasting beauty.
